On December 29, 2010 while snowbound and waiting for the plows to dig out our street, Amy assembled her soda can robot. While not quite a sentient android, it does have a drive motor and can walk.

I think Amy is just a bit disapointed that the robot won’t do her homework, but she does take pride that she assembled it herself.

On December 26, 2010 our area got pounded by a blizzard coupled with hurricane force winds. At our home, snowfall measured 30″ with some drifts running 4 to 5 feet! It took days to clean up. Our street wasn’t plowed until 48 hours after the storm. The township needed assistance from a local paving company who had the front-end loaders that could move the snow.
